ABSTRACT

Conventional ATC simulation training is practice-based training that aims to teach students hands-on experiences before handling real traffic situations in a stressful environment. However, COVID 19 has profoundly affected society and higher education in Australia. It brings enormous challenges to delivering this hands-on practical face-to-face training for students in a typical way. Hence, remote ATC simulation training is emerging in aviation education during COVID. This paper will present an innovative system design for remote ATC simulation training at an Australian university. Firstly, infrastructure upgrading of hardware and software from an existing stand-alone system to a remote network is discussed in detail with consideration of costs, cyber security, system compatibility with the university-wide network;Secondly, preliminary experiment results about the quality of remote ATC simulation training is present by compared with traditional face-to-face training to validate the whole system design;Last but not least, the enhancement of the current remote training system beyond COVID-19 regarding reliability and capacity is listed for future development. This foundation paper will support an understanding of how digital technology can transform STEM practical education during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, thereby providing an excellent example for the rest of the world by its leading role in developing advanced ATC training systems for application at a global level. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

In this paper we describe a smart and innovative system which provides prime contribution to our society in this pandemic situation. We propose a novel smart hospital with multi featured equipments along with fashionable isolation ward for COVID-19 patients. A website interface has been proposed under anyone can visit and after knowing the status of the beds either for the isolation or emergency ward they can easily book from remote location. A QR code with registration number will be provided to the users. These users may reach to the hospital and have to pass through the QR code scanner for verification and sanitization process. A preevaluation section has been defined where proper mask at face will be detected with thermal scanner facility. All the designed section is controlled and monitor by control unit through server. Well featured with multiple sensors a unique ward is designed where oxygen level sensor is used to sense the level of oxygen and if the level of oxygen of patient is less than defined value supply of oxygen will switch on the supply automatically. Doctor will monitor and take care of patients through CCTV and video conferencing. The entire sub design unit is controlled and monitored via hybrid network and IoT. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

A fundamental aspect of the fight against the Coronavirus and against any other virus, is represented by the sanitization of the sites and objects contained therein. This operation is normally carried out using mixtures of ozone and steam and it is certainly effective but also limited due the damages that the vapor can cause to rooms and objects. The following paper introduce machines able to overcome this issue thanks to innovative systems based on the principles of Engineering 4.0. Those systems reproduce the Chapman cycle in the to-be sanitized environments which allows producing ozone in a gaseous state, in the proper quantity and for the time necessary for sanitization. At the end of the operation, the ozone will be converted back into oxygen, leaving the environment re-habitable by humans and pets in a short time. The operation has low costs and times and guarantees positive results. This is therefore a real revolution to be considered today against the COVID-19. © 2021 Newswood Limited. All rights reserved.
